THE GREG GELBURD FOUNDATION was created in Charlottesville Virginia on Dr. Gelburd’s 60th birthday by a friend. Since that time we have raised funds for humanitarian aide in our own city and in several countries, helping the arts in Charlottesville, Virginia, purchasing cattle for farmers wiped out by Hurricane Matthew in Haiti and other needs brought to our attention.
Photos above show medical work in Leros Greece at a Refugee camp in 2018, Medical work in Tijuana, Mexico in 2019, several medical clinics in Port au Prince Haiti including one within months of the Earthquake in 2010 which killed more than 300,000 Haitians. Also shown is Kathy Clark-Gelburd, OD in her eye clinic and Greg Gelburd with friend Celem who provides immeasurable assitance to our work. Also pictured is Monica our daughter, working with children in one of the clinics.
